Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan have been granted divorce by the Bandra family court, Mumbai on Thursday. The duo had filed for divorce on mutual consent in November last year.

Malaika and Arbaaz had tied the knot in the year 1998 and their 18 years of marriage has finally come to an end. As per a report on MidDay, Malaika will have the custody of their son Arhaan and Arbaaz will have access whenever he wants. The tabloid further reported that their lawyers have confirmed the development.

On Wednesday, both Malaika and Arbaaz were seen together at the Justin Bieber concert that was held at DY Patil Stadium, along with their son. Several reports that surfaced last year suggested that the actress had asked for a sum of Rs 10 crore from Arbaaz as divorce settlement.

In March this year, when speculations about their relationship status were rife, both Arbaaz and Malaika had told us EXCLUSIVELY in a joint statement, "The truth is, we have taken a break, but that doesn’t mean people can presume, assume and speculate things of such malicious nature. We are taking out time to figure out our lives... Yes, it’s true that we are separated, but where our lives go and what transpires between us, it is for us to decide. Wherever it goes from here, we will talk about it when we are ready to."

They had further requested the media not to take their silence as their weakness and not to believe any information provided by any other sources.
