Is Anushka playing female lead in Salman Khan's 'Sultan'?

Almost everyone, from Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, have been supposedly approached for Salman Khan-starrer Sultan, but we have it from reliable sources that ultimately, Anushka Sharma will romance Salman, who plays a wrestler in the film.

Says a source, “Salman and Anushka have never been paired together in a film before. The film is supposed to start by November this year, by which time Anushka will complete the first schedule of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in London. Ali Abbas Zafar is already into pre-production as he is in Los Angeles meeting Hollywood stunt/fight coordinator Larnell Stoval (Max Steel, Undisputed 3).”

Sultan is likely to release on Eid 2016.

Apparently, Salman was keen to be paired opposite Deepika but she didn’t have dates since she already signed Vijau Krishna Acharya’s next opposite Hrithik Roshan. Priyanka Chopra and cousin, Parineeti Chopra were said to be in it till the two actresses denied it. Kangana Ranaut was rumoured to be doing the film, but the actress clarified that she as busy with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon and the dates of Sultan were clashing with Rangoon.
