He's a teetotaller, but character demands have made Akshay Kumar declare: Haan, Haan Main Alcoholic Hoon in his latest The Shaukeens. Surrounded by a bevy of beauties including Lisa Haydon, he proclaims his love and doesn't mince words doing so. And he does it joyously. Most songs in Bollywood these days are just like this: celebrations, indulgences, night-outs.

And it's the festive season. Time to pop that fizz and get boozy. Don't believe us, take a look at this list! It's one big party here...

Sharabi - Happy New Year
Shah Rukh's supposedly(?) teetotaller character quickly goes from whining, "Saare mainu kyu sharaabi kende ne?" to detailing the stages of drunkenness: "One drink down mein Govinda, Two drink down mein Jitendra, Three down mein Sharabi ka Bachchan, Four drink down and I dance like Dharmendra". Ok then...

In Da Club - Tamanchey
The Intense & Ikka track gets a Bollywood makeover but the spirit remains. A chhora bade baap ka, naache in da club, pee ke sharaab ogles at the beautiful chori. It's got a killer beat you can get down with, on the dancefloor.

Johnny Johnny - Entertainment
A nursery rhyme gets naughty in this ode to incorrigible alcoholics. Shake to this one with friends filling in for the catchy chorus as you go: Maine pee nahi, mainu pilaa di gayi hai. 'Chug it, chug it' it urges you as you promise a weak 'last hogi aaj ki'. Yeah, right!

Iski Uski - 2 States
Raise a toast to whisky as you dance to this one. It really doesn't matter who you're grooving with, as long as 'yaara da imaan whisky' But, there's a rejoinder... uspe chicken ho to hor vadhiya! Now that's a combination to dance to!

Party All Night - Boss
A no-holds-barred night of drinking and debauchery is promised. There's daaru, murga teetar, choriyan with Yo-Yo ki CDiyaan. Could this night get any wilder?

Chaar Botal Vodka - Ragini MMS 2
Wanna hangover tonight? Here's Honey Singh's recipe: Main rahoon saari raat in the bar, Daaru piyun lagaatar, Ek aadhi sab pee lete hain, Main to piyun botal chaar..... At the end of it, you too will be "liver mera vodka pukaare!"

ABCD - Yaariyan
Learn the aaj ka alphabet at your pajama party with a song made just for the occasion: A for Aao re aao, B for Bhaao na khaao, C se Chilla ke gaao, D se Daaru peete jaao. Nuff Said!

Dhup Chik - Fugly
Calling all chhora-chhoris on the floor, this one teaches you not to be a daaru snob. "Whiskey wuskey na dekho, jo mile woh lelo!"

Naino Wali Whisky - Sahi Bande Galat Dhande
The song to sing to your bartender when you want to get completely sloshed: Give me little bit of alcohol, little bit of this, little bit of all! YOLO, try out everything once, no?

Tamanchey Pe Disco - Bullett Raja
The girl urges you, clear the dancefloor if my beloved comes, or else... he'll make you dance at gunpoint. She goes on to suggest, Koi rapat likha do iski, rok lo daaru whisky. But she says it so halfheartedly, you wanna get on the dancefloor and dance... at gunpoint or not

Daaru Desi - Cocktail
Yaari jaise daaru desi. Now while we won't venture near the local tipple (we're really not that brave!), we like that true friends can have that sentiment - that true friends get you high. Wait... that's not what I meant!

Main Sharaabi - Cocktail
Here's an invitation to come to the dancefloor drunk. 'Ek Patiyala aur pilao do, iss party mein aag lagaa do' and another reason: bas isi baat pe botal kholo, khule jo saare paap woh dholo. Put your hands up, zor se bolo: Main Sharaabi! Hell, why the hell not!

Rum & Whisky - Vicky Donor
You won't find someone like me, boasts the groom at the wedding. So why are these liquors mentioned here? Just because they lyricists can! So take a swig of both and go Rum, rum, rum, rum, rum!

Daaru Band Kal Se - Singh Saab The Great
Don't we all like to say this? In this one, the husband pleads with wife: I've met my friends after a long time, let me indulge. Dedicated to all henpecked husbands wanting a sip (or nip?).

Punjabiyaan Di Battery - Mere Dad Ki Maruti
Wanna know why Punjabis are always so charged up? This song tells you why and boasts "Angreji daru saanu chadhdi nai" and eggs on "Large bana, ek hot pila, oye peenton thakde nahi". Better than an energy drink?

Ae Ganpat - Shootout At Lokhandwala
The drunk gangster's anthem. Go to a seedy enough bar and this is the song of choice. Threats and requests get intertwined when asking your waiter to get you your poison of choice as you yell "We are the bhai, we are the bhai", but silently say to yourself, only Salman is!
