Isha Koppikar wants to pursue in hospitality

Actor-turned-entreprenuer Isha Koppikar is on a learning spree. Only recently, she had gone to the US to do a course in hospitality. Apparently the actor, who is married to a hotelier, wanted to learn the ropes of the business to come back and start a venture of her own.

“Her husband Timmy is there to support her but Isha wanted to start from scratch and learn things for herself. Any support she gets after that is like a bonus for her,” says a source in the know. Isha, however, is now back in the city and upon prodding a bit, she reveals that she not only travelled to the US and Europe to study the hospitality industry but also did a little course in coffee, while she was there. The source says that since Isha is a coffee lover herself, she couldn’t resist learning all about it. “I love coffee, especially black coffee. I did a course, simply because of the new hospitality venture that I plan to open with my childhood friend,” reveals an excited Isha. The idea to capitalise on her love for coffee, she says, came about when she felt that most of the coffee shops in the city are strapped for space.

“They’re so cramped here. Also, there is so much rush and noise everywhere. That’s when we (her partner and she) thought why not come up with a coffee place that serves fresh and healthy food along with some yummy coffee to go with it,” says Isha. Ask her what she learned in the course, and she says that she got an insight into the different blends of coffee, mocha, cappuccino and a lot more along with details information abut the variety of coffee beans apt for different kinds of flavours. “There is so much to learn and I love studying about new things. That’s why I took up the course in coffee,” says the actor, quickly adding that her area of interest are both films and hospitality line and that she intends to pursue both her passions.
