Is Ranbir replaying his Rockstar role?

When the first teaser of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was out, it wasn’t difficult to guess that Ranbir Kapoor is playing a singer. Interestingly, this is the second time he will be playing a musician after Rockstar. Not only that, there are a few other similarities between the two.

In Rockstar, he loves Nargis Fakhri, but she doesn’t reciprocate. Ditto in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where he is in love with Anushka Sharma, who has feelings for Fawad Khan.

In both cases, the girls get married to the guy who they are in love with. However, Rockstar had a sad ending with Nargis’s character dying. We hope this one has a happy ending.
