Is 'Deadpool 2' ready to cast 'Stranger Things' star David Harbour as Cable?

Deadpool 2 teaser featured ahead of Logan is already making waves in superhero and X-Men fandoms. But in other Deadpool news, Stranger Things star David Harbour is being considered to play Cable in the sequel.

According to TheWrap, a source close to the casting process said that Fox, the studio behind Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, has screen-tested Harbour for the role. TheWrap reached out to Fox and Harbour's representatives for comments and is awaiting a response.

In the comic books, Cable aka Nathan Summers is the son of Cyclops aka Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor (Jean Grey's clone). He possesses time travel, telepathy, telekinesis, and technopathy abilities.

The pair of Deadpool and Cable have been favourite buddy characters of the comic book readers during their original run from 2004 to 2008.

Apart from Harbour, names like Russell Crowe and Pierce Brosnan too are being speculated to be frontrunners to play the part.

Another popular character from the comic books, Domino, is set to make her way to the silver screen with Deadpool. According to the media reports, Scandal star Kerry Washington has tested to play the role.
