Is Aamir Khan making Mahabharata with Hollywood legend Mel Gibson?

According to a report on Catch News, Aamir Khan, who’ll next be seen in Dangal is in talks with Hollywood big-shot Mel Gibson to appear in an adaptation of the epic Mahabharata. A source told Catch News: "Aamir Khan has wanted to make Mahabharata since a long time and he has been in talks with Mel Gibson for the film. Mahabharata will be backed by a big Hollywood studio and will go on floors early 2017."

The source claims that the pre-production has stared and several other Indian actors for the epic saga and the movie will be shot in the US with some major visual effects. 

Along with playing popular roles like Martin Riggs in the Lethal Weapon franchise and Max Rockatanansky in the original Mad Max trilogy, Gibson has also produced and directed successful films. He won the Academy Award for Best Director for Braveheart in 1995 and also directed and produced the controversial drama film The Passion of the Christ.
