After setting the screen ablaze with her on-screen performances for decades, Madhuri Dixit-Nene walked into the Indian household with her one-of-a-kind online dance academy- DancewithMadhuri.com which was essentially her husband Dr Shriram Nene’s brainchild. While the actress make sure that the site is regularly updated with proper routine dance lessons, now we hear that Madam Nene is all set to launch a special Yoga series for DWM to celebrate International Yoga Day.

With International Yoga Day around the corner, ‘Dance with Madhuri (DWM)’ is all set to launch a set of lessons dedicated to Yoga on its apps and website. With a motive of ‘creating a dance community across the globe’, our Dhak Dhak girl has made sure that there’s everything available on her website. From different forms of dance to dance lessons and fitness (in the form of Dancersize) and now, Yoga!

Speaking about the newest addition to DWM Madhuri Dixit-Nene says, “Fitness needs to be a way of life. I’m ecstatic about launching the yoga series on International Yoga Day as I have practiced yoga, along with dance, as a means of staying focused and in shape.” She further added, “There are many people who cannot dance and do not like to dance. But there’s one thing that all of us want to do. To stay fit,” she added.

A dream that Madhuri has nurtured over years is slowly coming true, she smiles. Talking about her dance-meets-fitness endeavour, Madhuri exclaimed, "It has been very humbling to see how fans and dance enthusiasts have accepted our online dance offering. I am amazed by the talent we are discovering and nurturing on the platform. It is clear that everyone has a spark of genius. The key is giving everyone access.  It’s been an exciting journey and I am glad that I am being able to share the joy of dancing with lakhs of dance enthusiasts across the world.” While the number of dance enthusiasts is growing every second on the website, Madhuri and her DWM team is constantly working and trying to bring out more unique offerings for their learners. “With growing number of the users, we were encouraged to scale up the content and have now introduced more dance forms, and introduced new gurus to offer a more robust learning experience. At the same time, we have introduced new ways to use dance to stay fit with dancercise, body conditioning, dance pilates, dance yoga, tabata and more.  People can learn dance and stay fit by accessing the DWM any time anywhere on any platform,” Madhuri told us.

THE NEW YOGA SECTION!
In an entire section dedicated to fitness called Move, there will be two types of Yoga courses available now. The Power Yoga and the Dance Yoga.

Power Yoga: This coursework includes beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons led by fitness expert Shalini Bhargava and will focus on a vigorous fitness based approach using the vinyasa style of yoga.

Dance Yoga: This one will rather be a fusion of Bharatnayam with the ancient Yoga Asanas. Namita Bodaji, a Bharatanatyam master, has designed this workshop that will work wonders for both dance lovers and fitness enthusiasts.
