Actress Saiyami Kher, who is set to make her Bollywood debut Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya, tunrned showstopper for ace fashion designer Gaurav Gupta's India Couture Week show 'Scape Song', which marked her first time on the fashion ramp.

Saiyami stunned in a deep blue sea coloured gown with Gupta's edgy-yet-feminine boned shoulder pattern and glittery eye make-up.
"I am walking on ramp for the first time. I have done various photoshoots in the past, but this experience is totally different. I was very excited as I have never looked so beautiful before. All these models are so beautiful and I was nervous as I had to match them. We were practicing the walk backstage," Saiyami said.

Even though, the actress faced some issue with her footwear while walking with the designer for the final bow, she managed to pull it off with grace and ease.
Gupta brought his futuristic approach back on ramp, with patterns inspired by fluid structures of frozen waves.
"The initial inspiration was Game of Thrones, but then came in referrals from Greek, Roman, Indian and English cultures and I tried to twist and take it to a new level. The whole collection is a mixture of modern architectural forms and vintage patterns," the designer said.

The brand's indigenous techniques of futuristic boning, sculpting and Indian baroque came into play with dripping pearls and galactic crystals adding on the feminine finesse.
Swirls of organza were used throughout the range for creating water scales and whirling roses.

The collection showcased a glamorous line of modern Indian gowns, draped sarees styled with unusual jackets and saree lehengas, multilayered skirts with sculpted corseted blouses.
Targeting the progressive yet rooted young generation the colour palette travelled from blue to black, green, grey, red and lavender.

Like always Gupta made sure to bring his interpretation on the ramp. The designer installed a frozen wave structure created by Plaster of Paris.
