I would love to do movies: Britney Spears

Pop star Britney Spears is open to acting in films provided she gets the right part.

The 32-year-old said that she is waiting for the right roles and also added that she loves comedy films, reports contactmusic.com.

"I would love to do movies. If it was the right part, it would be really cool. I love funny movies," E! News quoted Spears as saying.

The singer last appeared in 2002 film "Crossroads" where she played Lucy Wagner. The film also starred Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning.

Spears has also featured in the television shows "Will & Grace" and "How I Met Your Mother".
