Vatsal Sheth who made his acting debut with the TV show Just Mohabbat is back with Ek Hasina Thi, after a decade. After Just Mohabbat he got his big break in Bollywood with Tarzan - The Wonder Car, and followed it up with films like Nainhe Jaisalmer, Heroes and Hostel, but none did anything for his career. He was recently seen in a in a small role in Jai Ho. Now, with Ek Hasina Thi, Vatsal hopes to make it big again on the small-screen. Avers Vatsal, "Unfortunately, I was not getting interesting and challenging roles in films. In fact, I was supposed to do a film, when I got the offer for Ek Hasina Thi.

I found the character completely different from what I had been doing so far and so didn't think twice about taking it up." He plays a spoilt rich brat, an arrogant playboy. "It's an edgy character and a contrast from the goody goody guy I have played so far. You will find a completely different Vatsal. He is unlike a hero," grins the actor who worked on his body language, attitude and mannerisms to get the act right. Ask him if the delay in the serial made him apprehensive and he shrugs saying, "We had started shooting eight months ago. And one doesn't mind waiting, when you know you are working for a good project."

However, the light-eyed actor finds it very hectic working on TV. "Earlier I was working in a weekly and now it's a daily. We hardly get any breaks from the shoot. However, what's encouraging is the budget and production values have increased. Today, a serial is launched like a big film with huge promos, which is great," he says. Needless to say, he has pinned a lot of hopes on the serial. "Yes, I have worked hard and hope it pays," he grins.
