'I've told Ssharad not to spring a marriage surprise now' Divyanka Tripathi

Diyvanka Tripathi is bemused by her beau Ssharad Malhotra's confession to the media that he loves her. "Till date, Ssharad hasn't told me he loves me. I was shocked when a journalist told me he had said it. I just texted Ssharad not to spring a marriage surprise on me now because I am shooting for a daily soap and need to block my dates in advance," grins Divyanka, clearly delighted with the turn of events. The duo has been dating for seven years since they met on the sets of Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann. "That title just stuck with me," jests the pretty actress. Asked why they had kept it hush-hush, Divyanka says, "We never knew we were in love, we just got used to each other. We used to fight a lot but would eat together. We realised then that we couldn't stay away from each other. However, there was no official proposal from either side."

Once their maiden show was over, Divyanka worked in a sitcom, while Ssharad disappeared from the telly scene and tried his luck in films. He later went abroad to do a course in acting. "It was when he went abroad that I took up a lot of work because I wanted to keep myself busy," says the actress who is currently seen in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. And no, the fact that Ssharad's career was on a slow track did not bother Divyanka who says he deliberately took a break. "He wanted to explore different things which is good. He is now shooting for a film Ek Tera Saath," she says. So, when are they planning to tie the knot? 'Not anytime soon as both of us are busy with our work," smiles Divyanka.
