I'm not quitting films: Power Star Pawan Kalyan assures fans

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh is going to be launched in Hyderabad on Sunday in a big event. Pawan Kalyan called for a surprise press meet on Saturday at 4.30 pm and people were wondering what he was going to discuss. 

In the last few days, the demand for passes for the audio launch event to be held at Novotel Hyderabad has been huge. In fact, there were media reports of people selling the passes for a whopping amount. There were rumours that he might cancel the audio launch because of the demand for passes and any stampedes that might take place the venue. Security became a concern reportedly.

On Saturday afternoon, Pawan Kalyan suddenly decided to address the media. He told the audience and his fans that only those who have passes should come to the event. The actor requested, "Those who don't have passes should not even try to come and stand in groups at the gates. No one should create problems for foreigners who are staying at Novotel. If you don't have a pass, please sit and watch at home the event." The actor also spoke about the security arrangements in place. 

There was also talk that his elder brother actor and politician Chiranjeevi would attend the event. Pawan Kalyan confirmed this news adding that Chiranjeevi would launch the Sardaar Gabbar Singh audio. "I have invited Chiranjeevi for this audio launch. He had also launched the Gabbar Singh audio."

The top Tollywood actor, who has now ventured into politics, stated that he wrote Johnny (2003) and now he has written the screenplay for Sardaar Gabbar Singh once again after 13 years. The movie is et in the backdrop of the Khammam-Chatthsigarh border. 

Pawan Kalyan also categorically reiterated that he was not quitting films. "The news which aired about my film career is false. I am not quitting films," he added. 

The music for the film is by Devi Sri Prasad and Pawan Kalyan has also sung a track in the film reportedly. Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine in the film. Sardaar Gabbar Singh is set to release on April 8.
