Shakira, who welcomed her first child together with footballer boyfriend, Gerard Pique, on Jan. 22, is learning how to balance her demanding work schedule with being a new mom.
In an interview at House of Blues in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, the Colombian superstar said that juggling personal and professional life is a part of motherhood, the Washington Post reported.
Talking about soccer star beau, she said that Pique is mellow as well as very alert, too.
She said that it’s like Pique is aware of what’s going on around him and knows when someone comes in the room or comes out.
Shakira, who joined fellow The Voice coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Usher at a red carpet event celebrating the NBC signing competition’s top 12 finalists, said that the reality show’s host Carson Daly once told her that baby Milan has been a welcome addition to the kid-friendly set, which includes regular visits from Daly’s young brood, Usher’s children and Levine’s nephews.
When it comes to getting back into pre-baby shape, the singer says she’s still working on it.
“I still have a long way to go. I still have a few pounds over to lose, but I look decent,” she said.
