A few months ago, Vipul A Shah expressed a wish to make a full-blown action film with a heroine as the protagonist. The names on his wishlist were Jacqueline Fernandez along with Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Katrina Kaif.
While Dips will be seen in action mode in xXx 3, Sonakshi in Akira, Katrina has already done her fair share in Ek Tha Tiger and Phantom. Jackie is the only one, who has been a part of many thrillers, but has never really done any action herself.
She rues, “I really wanted to do action as I feel that’s something I can do really well. Given a chance, I would definitely want to be an action heroine in Bollywood. But unfortunately, I have never got the opportunity to showcase the action side of mine on screen. Even when I did action films like Kick, Brothers or A Flying Jatt, I really didn’t have the scope to do any action.”
But that is soon set to change, assures Jackie. “People will get to see a very different side to me in my next two films. The film with Sidharth will have me doing a little action, which is a first for me. But then again, I enjoyed doing all of it. It was kickass. Although Sid does most of the action, I do have my bits and scenes too. There’s a surprise towards the film’s climax,” she says.
Some portions of the film, tentatively titled Reloaded, is left to be filmed. Confirms the actress, “We have just about a few days of work left, which I will be shooting in Mumbai now.”
But it’s Tarun Mansukhani’s film, which will be in the Fast & Furious space that will bring her action side to the fore. “That film will be one of the coolest projects for me. I will train really hard to get into the skin of my character. And there, I will feature in almost all the action scenes. It’s a full blown action movie with lots of car chases and stunts. I am waiting to start that one later this year. It’s with Sushant Singh Rajput. Karan (Johar) is producing it,” she smiles.
