Musician-actor Himesh Reshammiya, who is gearing up for the release of his musical-thriller 'The Xpose', says he will always be indebted to mentor Salman Khan for his continuous love and support.

Salman gave Himesh his first big break in Bollywood and he composed music for his movie 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya'.

Later, Salman and Himesh gave many hit film albums together like 'Yeh Hai Jalwa', 'Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge' among others. He tasted first major success as a music director with 2003 Salman-starrer 'Tere Naam'.

"He is a legend he is the best brother I can have. I am indebted to him for whatever I am today and the whole Khan family for giving me a break. He is a genius and he knows his job very well," Himesh said in an interview here.

"He surprises every year with something new.. That is why he is a superstar and will continue to survive for another 50 years. He has the knack to connect with the audience. He is the most lovable star," he said.

Apparently, in between Himesh had distanced himself from Salman and began presenting himself as an actor. The trouble between Salman and Himesh had become apparent when the former had appeared in a TV reality show and had taken a jibe at Himesh.

But they have returned to be friends and the rumoured war is over. In 2011, Himesh and Salman buried the hatchet when Himesh gave music for his film 'Bodyguard'.

Himesh will also compose music for Salman's other two upcoming films Sooraj Barjatya's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick'.

On acting front, Himesh seems excited about his upcoming film 'The Xpose'.

"It is a murder mystery set in the film industry of 60s. In 60s, there was a conservative atmosphere in industry but two leading ladies --Zeenat Aman and Praveen Babi--came forward in a bold avatar and it changed the whole scenario," Himesh said.

"We have this incident (murder) that takes place at an after award party in the first five minutes of the film where the actress is murdered. My character is named Ravi Kumar who is ex-cop turned superstar, Honey Singh is playing negative character of a music director," Himesh said.

"Irrfan Khan is doing a special appearance.. He is playing the role of a black marketer, Adil Hussain who is a underworld don and there are lot of producers and directors.

There are about 11 suspects for this murder.. It is who-dun-it story. It is a new setting for this film," he said.

The film directed by Anant Mahadevan stars Himesh, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, Zoya Afroz, Sonali Raut and Irrfan Khan for a special appearance. It is expected to release on May 16.
