Huma Qureshi, Zack Snyder to build temporary hospital facility in Delhi to help 'fight the pandemic'

As the national capital struggles to deal with the deadly second wave of coronavirus, actor Huma Qureshi and acclaimed Hollywood director Zack Snyder have teamed up with an NGO called ‘Save the children India’ to provide COVID-19 relief in Delhi.

The duo will contribute to build a ‘temporary hospital facility’ and provide other medical facilities to those affected by the disease in the national capital.

Huma made the announcement on her Instagram handle. “I’ve joined hands with @savethechildren_india to help Delhi fight the pandemic. They need our help now more than ever. We are working to build a temporary hospital facility in Delhi, that will have 100 beds along with an oxygen plant. The project also aims to provide medical kits to patients for treatment at home, that will include consultation with a doctor & psychosocial therapist to ensure that the patient make a full recovery. Similarly Snyder took to his Twitter account to break the news. I’ve joined hands with Save The Children to help Delhi fight the pandemic. They are working to build a temporary hospital facility in Delhi with 100 beds along with an oxygen plant. Please support," he wrote.

It is interesting to note that various other international celebrities like Katy Perry, Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Mendes, Kunar Nayyar, Ellen DeGeneres and Camila Cabello have also provided support to India in its fight against COVID-19.

Huma Qureshi will be next seen in Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’, which also marks the actor’s Hollywood debut. The movie revolves around a zombie attack in Las Vegas and a grand heist thatvtakes place amidst it.

The film starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, and Ana de la Reguera is scheduled to be released on Netflix on May 21.
