When Ed Sheeran released his latest album — Divide — earlier this year, the song 'Perfect' felt just like the title it has. But on Friday morning (IST) he proved that perfect can be perfected when you bring Beyonce on board to do the duet.

The redhead singer had announced on Thursday that a duet featuring Queen Bey will come out on Friday. The caption read, "Got Beyoncé to duet with me on Perfect, comes out today at 7pm ET / 4pm PT / midnight GMT x."

The announcement sent the Sheerios and the Beyhive into a frenzy.

Ed Sheeran fans were thrilled with the collaboration, while hardcore Beyonce fans were not so amused.

The song came out and it is the harmonies that make it perfect. When Beyonce hits the high notes with the soft acoustic guitar encasing the lyrics, it is quite possible that one might hear traces of 'Sandcastle' from her visual album Lemonade.

Ed Sheeran begins the song with the familiar verse of his hit song. Beyonce joins in at the second verse while changing the lyrics for female gender. She goes,

Well I found a man
Stronger than anyone I know He shares my dreams
I hope that someday we’ll share our home
I found a love
To carry more than just my secrets
To carry love
To carry children of our own

The simplicity of the song shall take it up the ladder of Holiday musts.

After collaborating with J Balvin and Willy Williams for Mi Gente and with Eminem for Walk on Water, this is Beyonce's third feature surprise of the year.
