How South cinema stars Siddharth, Dhanush, Rana Daggubati and others banded together to help flood-hit Tamil Nadu

Celebs came together to offer help in Chennai, Cuddalore and other areas of the state.

Prominent names from southern film industry like Rana Daggubati, Siddharth, Dhanush and other rose to the occasion to help the people of flood-hit Tamil Nadu. The actors reached out to people with food, medicine, blankets and other necessary amenities. Others including Allari Naresh, Suriya, Nani, singer Chinmayi Sripada, Naresh and Allu Arjun also appealed to their fans to join the relief drive. 

"In solidarity with the people of Chennai and TN affected by the floods, a few of Telugu cinema's actors have come together and formed an initiative called 'Mana Madras Kosam'. We would contribute financially, raise funds and ensure proper relief work is being carried on ground," Rana posted on his Twitter page.

The actor is carrying out a fund-raising campaign through his family-owned Ramanaidu Charitable Trust.

"We can use all the help we can get! Please send your contributions to Ramanaidu Charitable Trust," tweeted actor-producer Allari Naresh.

Actor Siddharth promoted the hashtags #chennaimicro and #cuddaloremicoro to collate and coordinate relief measures. He also banded together a relief team of volunteers with RJ Balaji to collect and distribute relief materials.

Actor Dhanush urged people to donate to RJ Balaji's trust and coordinated with relief efforts in Chennai and Cuddalore.

Actor Allu Arjun donated to get his city back on its feet.

Bollywood celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez, Kalki Koechlin, Boman Irani and Abhishek Bachchan are also supporting Rana's initiative and urging their Twitter followers to donate for the cause through the Baby actor's trust. Collaborating with Ramanaidu Studios, Lakshmi Manchu and Navdeep also asked people of Hyderabad to donate food and water supplies as well as sanitation supplies.

Actress Shruti Haasan tweeted to fans urging them to donate.

Vishal coordinated and participated and also provided transport for relief materials. The actor was also involved in rescue operations.

Baahubali star Prabhas urged fans to donate to Rana Daggubati's relief efforts.
