It's war again at the box office. Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan will indeed have a face-off at the BO this August.

Initially, Akshay had announced Crack for Independence Day but soon, SRK announced that his next romantic film with Imtiaz which is yet to be titled and also stars Anushka Sharma will hit screens on August 11, on the same day. Crack has been pushed but now, Akshay has pushed his Toilet-Ek Prem Katha further to August 11.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha also stars Bhumi Pednekar and was supposed to release in June but now, it will clash with the SRK-Anushka starrer. While the news has got SRK-Akshay fans worried, we bring you the lowdown of the previous clashes between Akki and SRK. And believe us, we have proof. The Badshah has won each time. Here are details-

Veer Zaara vs Aitraaz:
Both the films clashed at the BO and the result was in favour of SRK. Veer Zaara became a blockbuster and collected Rs 19 crore over the weekend whereas Aitraaz only raked in Rs 7 crore.

Don vs Jaan-E-Maan:
The second clash between the two superstars happened when Farhan Akhtar's film starring SRK went head on with Shirish Kinder's venture starring Salman Khan in the lead and with Akki playing the parallel lead. Jaan-E-Maan collected Rs 12 crore but Don managed double the figure, that is, Rs 24 crore in the opening weekend itself.

Chennai Express vs Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara
These two films were supposed to release on the same day four years back. But after a round of discussion, the makers decided to push OUATIMD by a week but even then, the film fizzled out in the very first weekend and could not pose any threat for the Rohit Shetty blockbuster. Despite the clash and loss of screens, Chennai Express overtook 3 Idiots and became the highest grosser of all times back then, before it was surpassed by Dhoom 3 later the same year.

This August - will history repeat itself or will Akshay score big this time? SRK's last few releases haven't had a dream run at the plexes whereas Akshay has had a string of successful films in the last one and half years. All his last four films have crossed the 100 crore mark and he is on a roll. So kuch bhi ho sakta hai!
