Ambassador Salman Khan was all smiles as his team Mumbai Heroes warded off a strong challenge to beat two-time defending champions Chennai Rhinos in Celebrity Cricket League 3 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The star was joined in the cheering by Kangana Ranaut and Nargis Fakhri, alongwith Sohail Khan who seemed jubilant after the victory. The win was a pleasant welcome after the Bollywood team captained by Suniel Shetty and vice-captained by Aftab Shivdasani had lost their opening two rounds earlier.

This win was badly needed to stay in the league for the last four berth. And last year’s semi-finalists gave it their best shot ensuring their run in the season. Shabbir Ahluwalia who scored 70 of 39 balls went on to become the Man of the Match.

The spirited Mumbaiwalas got a further boost with Bobby Deol’s on the spot bowling as his well-disguised right arm medium pacers helped cut down the chase drastically. Raja Bherwani, Sunny Singh and Varun Badola cemented their position further. And as the team celebrated their win, Sonu Sood was missed as the actor who suffered multiple fractures had to be flown back home.
