TV serials have leaps almost every year. A phenomenon spearheaded by the czarina of the small screen Ekta Kapoor, most daily soaps have followed the same technique. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya too is going down the same route.
And once the time leap was announced, Vishal Singh who played one of the prominent characters on the show decided to opt out of the show. Now, Mohammad Nazim who plays Ahem on the TV show also has followed suit and quit the show.
A leading daily reported, "He has already played a father for long and is not willing to turn grandfather at this stage of his career. Also, he has o go to Australia to shoot for a Punjabi film."
This is possibly a powerful stance taken by an actor at a time when most actors are readily playing older roles. But then again, will this bring in a change in the situation? We aren't too sure.
