Actor Saqib Saleem, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming horror film ?Dobaara: See Your Evil?, which also stars his real life sister Huma Qureshi in the lead role, promises that people, who would come with the hope of watching a pure horror film, will not be disappointed as there are no gimmicks in the film.

In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the 29-year-old actor said, ?Audience can expect a genuine horror film. We have not added any gimmicks to the film. The film is an official adaption of Hollywood film ?Oculus?, so we have tried to stay as true to the original film as possible. But we have also added our own interpretation to it. There is a full emotional angle; there is a proper brother-sister relationship depicted in the film. I strongly feel that when people come to watch the film, there will really get scared and spooked.?

When quizzed about how different the film would be from other horror flicks, the ?Mere Dad Ki Maruti? actor said, ?I feel that horror films that have been made over the past few years have more of unnecessary things like songs, so in that sense we have tried to stay true to the horror genre."

Echoing similar sentiment, the movie?s leading lady Huma said, ?A lot of people would have seen the original film ?Oculus? and if people think it?s a cut and copy paste of the original film, then, they will be very disappointed because it isn?t. We have adapted the film but adaptation does not mean just changing the name of the characters. It means far more than that.?

?This was a highly charged emotional film and it?s scary as hell. So, I think horror fans, family audiences, college kids or people who feel we have not generally made a horror film in India will be spooked. They will enjoy the film,? she added.

Real life siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem were spotted in the national capital yesterday as part of the film?s promotions.

Directed by Prawaal Raman, the movie which is an adaption of 2013 American horror film ?Oculus?, is all set to hit the theaters on June 2.
