Temple Run, the game that literally was on everyone's mind since its release in 2011 may become a feature film. Warner Bros. is in negotiations with the game creators and veteran producer David Heyman.

In 2011, mobile game Temple Run was released initially for iOS and then later for all platforms including Windows 8 and Android. The game received favourable reviews and was quite the trending topic, becoming one of the of the highest selling mobile games that year. It is an endless running game released by Imangi Studios. The game revolves around an explorer who steals an idol from a temple and is chased by demonic monkeys.

A sequel to the original game was released on January 17, 2013 for iOS,and on January 24 for Android. As well as spin-off versions, such as Temple Run: Brave and Temple Run: OZ, both based on the popular films Brave and OZ The Great and Powerful.

David Heyman already has a good relationship with Warner Bros, having produced all eight Harry Potter films as well as the recent commercially and critically successful film Gravity staring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. If the film gets the green light, the next step would be to find a writer to pen the script which would follow the basic premise of the game.
