It's Ranbir Kapoor ka birthday today. And what better way to showcase it than to highlight his thoughts and views. You get an insight into the man behind the actor and get a chance to learn a thing or two from him. Here's RK taking centrestage voicing his thoughts on life, love, aspirations, choosing to become an actor and more.

On choosing to become an actor:
People feel that I became an actor because I am from a film family and that my parents were actors. But actually, the only reason I wanted to become an actor was to get away from studies.

On being content:
Happiness exists only if you have a lot of people to share it with.
On what makes his day: I make my day. What spoils it? That would be me again.

On sharing a birthday with Lata Mageshkar:
Yes, I have been showing it off since school days.

On dealing with the paparazzi:
My life has become a reality show. When I am home, people are climbing trees with cameras. I feel that my personal space is being encroached upon. I will try and protect it as much as I can.

On what attracts him to a woman:
For me, intelligence reigns all. A woman’s mind is far more capable and stronger than that of men. I’m not saying this just because of the recent wave of feminism. I feel I’ve always gravitated towards smart girls who have a better outlook than me, on every situation. Beauty and sensuality do matter, but it is her mind that keeps you hooked.

On his aspirations:
I want to become a superstar, but for that, I first have to be a super actor.

On people passing judgments on his character:
Call me ugly if you want. But please don't judge my morals and behaviour, because you don't know me.

On competition:
Competition is a good thing; it has always been there. It was present when Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar were acting. It only drives us to become better versions of ourselves.

On being detached:
I'm quite detached from failure and success. Once a shooting is done, I kind of close that chapter in my life
