Gurmeet Choudhary reveals that he is shy of women and wasn’t exactly comfortable shooting the passionate scenes with Sana Khan in Wajah Tum Ho. He says, “The chemistry no doubt looks natural, but it’s a reflection of my acting skills. Irrespective of how uncomfortable I felt, what matters is how perfectly natural it looks on screen. As far as I know, Sana was equally tense. Yet, Sana and I finished the lip-locks and the passionate kisses all in one take. It is good that we make a great pair on screen and the credit goes to director Vishal Pandya.”

The Khamoshiyan actor, best known for his portrayal of Lord Rama in the mythological, Ramayan, adds that his real life persona is different from the image he has lately acquired, “To be honest, I have never been the outgoing kind who gets cozy with girls. I have always been a shy person and that hasn’t changed. Debina was my only girlfriend before marriage and she was the only one I proposed to. It took me a lot of courage to even confess my love to Debina.”

However, Gurmeet feels thrilled with the kind of compliments he has been lately getting from girls, “With the title track trending, every time I walk across the road, girls sing out to me.” So, doesn’t all this play havoc in his married life as is widely speculated? The actor smiles, “That’s where I and Debina differ from most other married couples. Both of us sit down with the script of every film before I go ahead. She knows that the one she is seeing on screen is Ranveer Bajaj of Wajah Tum Ho. She never thinks about these love-making scenes and we don’t even discuss them. I won’t be surprised if people now start speculating that our relationship is in trouble because all these things do not make a difference to Debina.”

The actor maintains that he is just as much madly in love with his wife, Debina, five years after he got married to her, “It will be difficult for others to understand the relationship we share. Debina is my support system. I hail from a small village in Bihar, where there are millions of star aspirants. It was my dream to become a star, but now both of us share the dream. I owe my sucess to her,” he said.
