After Horror Story, director Ayush Raina is getting ready to direct another paranormal show, this time on TV. Called Bhoot Aaya (Mano Toh Sach), it will feature real-life cases where people have experienced strange things or seen ghosts. Says Akashdeep, the creative director or the show, “We checked the cases with the Paranormal Society of India headed by Gaurav Tiwari.
Only after he confirmed them have we taken it on board. Real people will narrate their errie experiences, which will also be recreated, followed by a discussion.” Tell him that it’s similar to Zee’s Fear Files and Akashdeep agrees. “But we started work on it before that show. The pilot was shot and apporved by Sony but we were awaiting a slot, since it’s a late night weekend show.
Earlier we were going to have a film star anchoring it but now we have done away with the concept. Also, the advantage of coming on air now, is that Fear Files has changed its format and is no longer reality-based. It has become fictional,” explains Akashdeep. Bhoot Aaya will be aired from September 29 at 11 pm.
