Actor Sikander Kharbanda who played Amitabh Bachchan’s character in Ektaa Kapoor’s recently released Bhojpuri flick will soon tie the knot with girlfriend and actor Geetanjali Tikekar.
Actor Sikander Kharbanda (Indranil Raapchik of Kasauti Zindagi Kay), who played Amitabh Bachchan’s character in Ektaa Kapoor’s recently released Bhojpuri flick Gabbar Singh, will soon tie the knot with girlfriend and actor Geetanjali Tikekar.
“We have known each other since the past six years. We have been seeing each other for the past two years. But we decided to take the plunge recently.
We are renovating our apartment. Our parents have met and have given their consent. The wedding date is to be finalised, but it would be within the next few months,” gushes Geetanjali as she snuggles upto Sikander, her former co-star in Kasauti.
Incidentally, she played Aparna opposite Cezanne Khan in the show. It may be recalled that off-screen, Geetanjali was linked with Cezanne before they split. “Yes, I was friendly with him. But it’s now a closed chapter. I prefer to focus only on my present and future plans,” she asserts.
Currently, Geetanjali is shooting for two serials Jersey No 10 and Balaji’s Karam Apna Apna. “While in Jersey, I’m playing a physiotherapist, in Karam I am the gharelu bahu Maya,” informs Geetanjali who has also completed a course in digital cinematography.
Meanwhile, Sikkander is playing a negative character in Ravi Chopra’s latest serial Pari Hoon Main. “I play baddie Balmaa who keeps harassing the simple girl Nikki. I am also fidaa over Nikki’s look-alike Pari, a star,” laughs Sikkander.
Incidentally, his character Indranil in Kasauti will be shown as finally getting married. “It’s sad that by next month-end Kasauti will be going off air after a seven-long year run,” signs off Sikander, who’s all set to step into the dulha’s shoes, in real life too.
