The season 6 of Game of Thrones is a gift that keeps on giving. Exhibit-A: the death (or lack thereof) of John Snow. This particular death led to widespread disbelief and horror, and grapevine was rife with theories speculating on his return, and return he did. The season, just two episodes old, has been fraught with mystery, intrigue and revelations. The second episode ‘Home’, which will air on May 3 on Star World Premiere in India, had the biggest reveal yet, the much awaited and anticipated return of John Snow. Melisandre, through the use of an incantation, resuscitated the late (now living) Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.
Kit Harrington, who plays the popular character on the show finally broke his silence and said, “Sorry.” Harrington also talked about the pressure of keeping the biggest secret of the show. He was required to act not only onscreen but off-screen as well, the role of an actor whose part in the show has ended. “I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone," Harington said in a candid interview with Entertainment Weekly. "I'm glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, 'Fine, Jon Snow's dead.' But it seems like people had a similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I'm doing — or the show is doing — is right."
John Snow's return was predicted by a host of fans and his return was imminent, however in the back of people’s mind was the thought:‘What if he doesn’t?’ The charade by the show makers and the actors had many believing that Snow was gone for good.
