From small screen to silver screen: Actor Vijay Vajra on 'Muthu Mavutha'

Meet Vijay Vajra, a tele serial artiste who is all set to foray into the cinematic world with his film Muthu Mavutha. 

Vajra, who has acted in tele serials Chikkamma and Alugulimane, is playing the lead role as well as financing the project along with Ashok Kheny, Managing Director, Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises. “When director Gajakeshwar narrated the script of Muthu Mavutha, I found it is quite interesting. I am confident of this film will not only convey a message to society, but also become a huge hit at the box office,’’ says Vajra.

Shooting for the film will take place at Aigunda, an island near Honnavara in Uttara Kannada district. 

In the film, Vajra plays the role of a mahout assigned to look after an elephant at a village temple. However, he later falls in love with the daughter of the temple priest.

Aishwarya, who has also worked in tele serials like Anuroopa on Suvarna TV, makes her film debut in this film as well. V Manohar has scored the music for the film while lyricist Goturi has penned the songs.
