Recently, Sunny Leone appeared in an interview with Bhupendra Chaubey which was deemed misogynist and offensive. At one point he actually asks Sunny (or tries to guilt trip her into admitting she regrets doing porn): “Do you not sometimes get affected by the fact that your past… your past that you were this porn queen will continue to haunt you? Or maybe continue to pull you back? When maybe you could’ve gone far higher.” To this Miss Leone replies with amazing grace, “You’re the only person. It’s the press and the media that says holding back or haunt. I’ve never said haunt. I’ve never said held back. I am not held back. Maybe I don’t know yet. Maybe one day I get to work with somebody who is this huge star. At this moment, I don’t know any better so it doesn’t affect my life.”

Aamir Khan: I think Sunny conducted herself with a lot of grace and dignity in this interview.... I wish I could have said the same about the interviewer. And yes Sunny, I will be happy to work with you. I have absolutely no problems with your "past", as the interviewer puts it. Stay blessed. Cheers.

Rishi Kapoor: Very unfair and rude interview with Sunny Leone... She is taking it on her chin sportingly, obviously in the interest of her coming film.

Anushka Sharma: This downright distasteful interview shows d journalists intellect & lack of basic human respect & nothing else.kudos

Dia Mirza: He asks the same question for 20 minutes. Because she doesn’t satisfy him with the response he’s looking for. #Respect

Sushant S. Rajput: How beautifully you held your own in that stupid interview @SunnyLeone. Someone should have taught him how to respect a woman when he was a kid.

Gaurav Kapur: As a live broadcaster, you must be objective and rid yourself of all bias before an interview. Bhupendra’s every word reeks of a dodgy agenda. Full marks to Sunny Leone for the grace she showed. Most would’ve walked out of that cringe fest of an interview.

Milap Zaveri: She is a rockstar! My #MastizaadiSunny Love her!

Vir Das: Here’s hoping Mr. Chaubey’s next interview explores something other than his own prejudice.

Shruti Seth: A rockstar being interviewed by a misogynistic idiot. You owned this one @SunnyLeone with your grace and poise. Bravo!

Mini Mathur: Yes and such stupid questions! He is so googly eyed and patronising while @SunnyLeone holds her own so beautifully.

Shabinaa Khan: Sick that a journalist @bhupendrachaube should conduct such a disgusting, patronising, sexist interview @sunnyleone

Alia Bhatt: That was literally NOT an interview... Just hyper opinionated statements with a question mark at the end!!! No Grace? Chivalry? Ridiculous!

Sunny Leone, said in a video message: "I would like to say thank yor all the support and love you have given me in the last couple of days. I wouldn’t be here, if it hadn’t been for you... I want to thank you."

I feel this really needs to be said right now! Thank you and love you everyone for your support!! #SunnyLeone
