This week saw some festive, exciting trailers announce the arrival of movies in summer of 2018. It also showcased thrillers awaiting their binge watchers.

While Ocean's 8 got everyone excited for the Devil Wears Prada meets Ocean's trilogy mashup; the trailer for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again left them asking where is Meryl Streep.

For the small screen, trailer for Narcos season 4 teaser came bearing cast news. Let's take a look at the week that was. 

Ocean's 8

Sandra Bullock & Co come together to steal a $150 million diamond necklace from Met Gala. The trailer introduced all the team members and gave an idea of what awaits on June 8, 2018.

Overboard

Anna Farris stars in the remake of 1987 movie Overboard. The original movie featured Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Indian audience will remember the 1992 adaptation of the story, titled Ek Ladka Ek Ladki, featuring Salman Khan and Neelam.

This time, the girl is poor and the rich guy, played by Eugenio Derbez, is made to believe that he has a family and has to work three jobs to feed them.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

The sequel to the 2008 movie will show us how Donna Sheridan (this time played by Lilly James) met with three young men.

Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Stallan Skarsgard return to play their respective roles. Cher makes a dramatic entrance. But we don't see what happens to Meryl Streep's Donna in the 2.25-minute-long trailer.

Sicario 2: Soldado

The sequel for critically acclaimed action-thriller Sicario gets a sequel - Soldado. The movie will now focus on Benicio Del Toro's character Alejandro. Emily Blunt is no longer part of the franchise. Maybe this is why the first look of Soldado feels like any other drug cartel movie, devoid of vulnerability

Gringo

Here's the official synopsis of the movie to help you understand what is going on here - An exhilarating mix of dark comedy, white-knuckle action and dramatic intrigue, Gringo joyrides into Mexico, where mild-mannered businessman Harold Soyinka (David Oyelowo) finds himself at the mercy of his back-stabbing business colleagues back home, local drug lords and a morally conflicted black-ops mercenary. Crossing the line from law-abiding citizen to wanted criminal, Harold battles to survive his increasingly dangerous situation in ways that raise the question: Is he out of his depth — or two steps ahead?

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

This is a story of Clara (Mackenzie Foy) who visits a strange and mysterious parallel universe. There she meets a soldier named Phillip and together they have to brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren) to hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. The Disney live action slate adds another spectacle with this adaptation of E. T. A. Hoffmann's novella, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.

Mary and the Witch's Flower

When Studio Ghibli first shut down, their alums formed Studio Ponoc. Mary and the Witch's Flower is their first attempt. First English trailer for the Japanese animated film released this week. The voiceover cast features Kate Winslet as Madam Mumblechook, Jim Broadbent as Doctor Dee, and Ewen Bremner as Flanagan among others.

Mortal Engines

Based on the 2001 book series written by Philip Reeve, Mortal Engines is adapted for the big screen by LOTR master Peter Jackson. This sci-fi movie shows post-apocalyptic world where gigantic moving cities roam the Earth, ruthlessly preying upon smaller traction towns. The trailer shows London hunting down a small village. Massive, eh?

Early Man

Tom Hiddleston, Eddie Redmayne, and Maisie Williams come together to do the voiceover for Nick Park's stop-action animated movie Early Man. The trailer shows how a prehistoric man, Doug, and his sidekick Hognob unite his tribe against evil Lord Nooth.

Grace and Frankie

Trailer for Grace and Frankie season 4 showed Lisa Kudrow join Lilly Tomlin and Jane Fonda as cast members. These oldies but Goldies move forward with their business of making vibrators as their families deal with their own issues in the upcoming season.

Narcos season 4

Netflix released a teaser for the fourth season of their docu-drama Narcos on Monday. It had a new theme but the most exciting part was casting announcement of Ant-Man star Michael Pena and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story alum Diego Luna as the two male leads.
