From 'Game of Thrones' to Gunpowder Plot: Kit Harington to star in drama about Guy Fawkes

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington is reportedly set to star in and produce a drama about Guy Fawkes for the BBC.

Fawkes led a group of provincial English Catholics, who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

The thriller, which has the working title Gunpowder, is based on the Gunpowder Plot made to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London and to kill King James I, reported Variety.

Endemol Shine's Kudos will produce the show with 29-year-old Harington's Thriker Films. The miniseries will comprise three hour-long episodes.
