Though the two claim to be great friends, Freida Pinto has finally broken her silence over her slpit with ex-boyfriend Dev Patel. Though Dev refused to talk about his split and the reason for the two drifting apart, Freida doesn't seem heartbroken at all.
When she was recently asked about her split from Dev, she said that though the two were not romantically involved, Dev will always be her best friend and that their equation was never going to change. She also added that there was no point in crying over spilt milk and that everyone has to pick up the threads of their lives and move on.
She was quoted as saying, "There is no way one person can sit down and go, 'But why did this happen to me?' Or, 'It was all going well, what the hell happened?' Or, 'No, this just can't be,' the denial of it." She also added that the two of them weren't running away from the situation and were just trying to deal with it.
Besides talking about her ex-boyfriend, she also happened to mention that she was a fan of young actress Alia Bhatt. She was quoted as saying, " Alia Bhatt is amazing, she's really funny. She has a great sense of humor. I think there was a thing that happened where she fudged the name of the prime minister of India on a big talk show, and they said, "Oh, the girl's dumb." So she went out and did a skit on it, about being super dumb (laughs) and I just thought it was great. And she did this film called Highway, and all the songs on that film are just phenomenal."
