'First Rank Raju' to hit silver screens soon

Naresh Kumar, a software engineer who became a film director out of passion, has been busy making arrangements for the release of his maiden film First Rank Raju. The trailer of the film was released at Malleswaram Inox last week.

“The film conveys the much needed message to parents who push their children to pursue only academics. That's not the only criteria for a person to survive in society,’’ Kumar says.

The film explores the usefulness of having an academic qualification as well as how one only needs an intelligent brain to lead a hassle-free life. “A 12-minute trailer was uploaded on Youtube last year. Impressed by the concept, Manjunath from Malleshwaram came forward to finance the film,’’ Kumar said.

The cast includes Gurunandan, Apoorva, Thanuska, Chandru, Sadhu Kokila, Achyut Rao, Manadeep Rai and Master Chinmai. Kiran Ravindranath is the film's music director, while Pravin S worked behind the camera for this film.
