First look: Madhuri Dixit in a fearless avatar in 'Gulab Gang' poster

While Madhuri Dixit has floored us with her nazakat and adayen in Dedh Ishqiya, the Dhak Dhak girl sports a completely different avatar in her upcoming film Gulab Gang.

The actress tweeted the first look poster of the film:

The film, inspired by the female vigilante group Gulabi Gang formed by Sampat Pal Devi to fight domestic abuse and violence against women, has been produced by Anubhav Sinha and directed by Soumik Sen.

In the film, Madhuri plays the role of the gang leader.

In the poster, Madhuri is seen in mid air, ready to strike down her enemies with a sickle.

Her look in the poster resembles Goddess Durga, the slayer of demons.

For her role in the film, the actress has trained extensively under action choreographer, Shifu Kanishka Sharma, a renowned Shaolin master.

While the actress has earlier played a strong female character in Mrityudand, it is the first time that she is filming her action sequences herself.

The film is also in news for bringing together former rivals Madhuri and Juhi Chawla for the first time.

The film is set to hit the screens next year on Women's Day, March 8.
