Richard E Grant to play villainous mad scientist in Hugh Jackman's last outing as Wolverine

Jekyll & Hyde star Richard E Grant has joined the cast of Hugh Jackman-starrer Wolverine 3. Hugh Jackman also revealed that this would be the last time he would play the character of 'Wolverine,' reported deadline.com. This must have definitely broken hearts of all the die-hard X-men fans, who have watched Hugh Jackman essay 'Wolverine' for the last 17 years.

Patrick Stewart, who will play X-Men leader Professor X and Boyd Holbrook as Jackman's nemesis are also a part of the project, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Not much is available about the plot but Grant is said to play villainous mad scientist type of character. Grant has appeared earlier in Doctor Who and the HBO series, Girls.

The movie is being directed by James Mangold and is currently slated for a worldwide release on March 3, 2017.
