Finally, Dimple Kapadia, Rajesh Khanna come together

Call it fate, but Dimple Kapadia and her ex-husband Rajesh Khanna have never shared screen space. Both of them were to star together in a film called ‘Jai Jai Shiv Shankar’ but the film was shelved. Soon after their marriage, Dimple quit films. Even after she made a comeback with ‘Saagar’ post her separation from Khanna, the two actors were never cast together.

Some years ago they were slated to do a play together called ‘Sapne To Apne’ but even that came a cropper after Dimple backed out. But now, the jinx may be broken with the two of them agreeing to do a film called ‘Door Bahut Door Saat Samundar Ke Paar’.

“Yes, I am doing this film with Dimple,” confirms Khanna. When asked if he was being paired romantically opposite Dimple, he says with characteristic humour, “Obviously. We are paired romantically opposite each other. She can’t be against me!”

In the meanwhile, Rajesh Khanna is also busy shooting for ‘Jaana-Lets Fall In Love’, where he is romantically paired opposite Zeenat Aman.

Says Khanna, “We recently shot for it in Nainital and were surprised to see around 15,000 people gathered to catch a glimpse of me and Zeenat. People have obviously not forgotten us.”
