Recently, there were news about how the makers of Omung Kumar's much talked about biopic Sarbjit were struggling to get the permit to shoot for a crucial sequence at the Wagah Border. The cast and crew who are in Amritsar since the last 3 weeks were fighting for Wagah Border shoot permission every single day in the run to finish their schedule.

It is now known that the long wait has finally come to an end for the makers as the permission has finally been granted. How? It was all possible because of the film's lead actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. An insider informs that in spite of going through all the departments, the makers were stuck when it came to final stage. "The makers were too keen on shooting the sequence at the Wagah border and didn't want to return home upset. So they requested Aishwarya if she could help in getting the permit," adds our source.

Ash agreed and requested relevant officials from the home ministry of India and other important officials to grant the permission. Considering the actress' humble and genuine request, the authorities had to give a thumbs up for the shoot.

It is heard that the crew shot for the sequence a day back (on February 27) and will eventually head to Delhi for a two day shoot and then to Mumbai to wrap up the shooting schedule.
