Fifi Geldof, the eldest daughter of music legend Bob Geldof, has admitted that she never told her father about her lifelong battle with depression.

During an interview with Mail Online, the 31-year-old sister of late Peaches Geldof admitted that she has been battling depression since the age of eleven and it was Robin Williams' shock suicide which inspired her to speak up, the Mirror reported.

Stating that she never took medication to cure her illness, she said that her focus now was on her job and looking after her younger siblings after the death of her sister.

Admitting that she does not share close relationship with her dad, Fifi further said that she trusted her friends more for support, and hence she did not tell Bob about her illness.

The eldest daughter of Bob admitted that since the passing away of her sibling, her problems have deteriorated but she has urged others suffering from mental illness to follow her footsteps in speaking up about it.
