Farhan Akhtar has bagged an international project with Marvel Studios. Unconfirmed sources said the actor has started shooting for the project in Bangkok, although when we contacted Disney, who own Marvel, they refused to comment.

"Farhan is currently stationed in Bangkok, along with an international cast and crew, for the shoot of a project with Marvel Studios, who are known to be one of the biggest film studios worldwide," the source said.

However, the source refrained from giving details about the project. "All other details of the project are strictly under wraps," the source explained. According to reports, the shooting of 'Ms Marvel' is taking place in Bangkok, however, it is unclear if Farhan will be a part of the show.

Seems like we will have to wait for an official announcement.

Meanwhile, Farhan has the film 'Toofaan' lined up for release. The actor plays a boxer in the film. 'Toofan' has been directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and also features Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, and Hussain Dalal. This is the second time that Farah is working with Mehra. The two had collaborated for the film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' in 2003.

In a recent interview, speaking about making 'Toofaan', Mehra said, "So, in a way, the lockdown was liberating for me. I was working on it for 20 hours a day without any disturbances. We managed to establish an editing line with one of my editors, and the same with sound. This period also gave me space and time to finish other scripts."

Speaking about collaborating with Farhan after the success of 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' which was released 7 years ago, Rakeysh said, "After working with Farhan in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', I was certain he would be the perfect protagonist for 'Toofaan'. The best thing about him is that he does not act the part, but lives it completely."

The highly-anticipated sports drama will premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video on May 21.
