Shah Rukh Khan's next release Fan has been making the right waves ever since it was announced. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan encapsulates the journey of a look-alike fan who's obsessed about his superstar. Although Fan is a songless YRF film (and that's a first for both the company and SRK!), the maker shot for a promotional song that brings out the essence and flavour of the film brilliantly.

The song, titled the Fan Anthem was unveiled at Hansraj College in Delhi where SRK is an alumni member. Sung by Nakash Aziz and written by Varun Grover, the song is composed by Vishal-Shekhar. The 'Jabra Fan' song is yet another catchy, peppy track that's all set to catch the audience's attention now.

The song has SRK's character- that of doppelganger Gaurav Chandana- dancing his way in the locales of Delhi, worshipping his idol superstar Aryan Khanna. But that's about it. More than reel, this film is meant for the viewers to connect with in reality. Yes, the Jabra Fan number is not just meant for SRK fans worldwide. If you are a fan of anyone and it can be anyone in this world, you will surely connect with the song. That's the beauty of the song. That it appeals to all the fans worldwide and for you to like the track, you need not be a SRK fan. You might be a fan of Salman Khan or Mahendra Singh Dhoni or Roger Federer or even Mary Kom (in short: anyone else!) and still relate to this track!

Like the second teaser that revealed Gaurav's look from the film, this one is vrilliantly conceptualised to cater to the universal audience at large and not to a specific target audience. With lines like 'Follow karu Twitter pe, tag karu Facebook pe, tere quiz mein Google ko beat kar diya' and 'Mirror main tu dikhta hain, neend mein tu ikta hai, tere madnes ne mujhe dheet kar diya', the song is off to a brilliant start. Why? Because it engages you instantly as it's something so relatable and I'm sure we all must have not just faced but lived all these feelings at some point in life. We bet.

Maneesh Sharma, you are a genius and SRK, there's possibly no one better than you to have played out the dual roles in the film. You are unmatchable in this one. Forget the dance steps, the energy and the passion which you command on screen is simply breathtaking. This one's a winner, I'm a Jabra Fan already and yeh sunke hi 'Dil main dhan te nan ho gaya'.
