False alarm! Shah Rukh Khan may not be Apple's brand ambassador in India

Turns out that claims about actor Shahrukh Khan becoming the brand ambassador for tech giant Apple was nothing, but a false alarm.
There was buzz about Apple planning to rope-in the 50-year-old actor as its brand ambassador in India and the tech giant was set to make a public announcement in this regard during the launch of next generation iPhones.

An insider, however,revealed that claims are untrue as Apple doesn't need a brand ambassador in India or anywhere else.
The rumours started making headlines when King Khan hosted a star-studded bash for Apple's CEO Tim Cook at his residence last month.
