After making his debut into Telugu cinema with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is tentative set to release for the festive occasion of Dussehra, it looks like critically acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi has something new coming up in this side of the film world. 

It has been reliably learnt that the Tamil star has been approached by a leading production house to be a part of the debut film of amulet another mega family hero Vaishnav Tej, nephew of Chiranjeevi. What’s more, even though things haven’t been finalised or signed on, sources say that the actor has given a nod nevertheless since he was happy with his characterisation.

“The role will have shades of gray and while thinking of actors to be roped in, the team felt that Vijay would be an unconventional choice with not many in the Telugu audience having seen his work. When offered the part, Vijay was apparently happy to join in. However, a final narration and script is yet to be readied and once that’s done, the actor will take a call,” a source in the know shared with DNA

Being helmed by Buchi Babu, a debutant, the film is touted to be an action entertainer starring Manisha Raj as the female lead.
