Actor Evan Peters has revealed the plot details of his character Quicksilver in X-Men: Apocalypse. The 28-year-old actor said the film will explore the relationship between the super-fast speedster and his biological father, reported Aceshowbiz.

"The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world," he said.

In the movie Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Professor X (James McAvoy) are teaming up to fight against the villain and save mankind from complete destruction.

The superhero film is scheduled for May 27, 2016, release.
