Elli Avram is currently riding on the success of her latest release Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. What's interesting is that this Swedish Greek actress has herself dubbed for the film, at least one part of it. For a girl who has been in India for just three-and-a-half years, to speak Hindi fluently, is a formidable feat indeed. Something which London girl Katrina Kaif hasn't achieved after 14 years of stay in the country! She still speaks Hindi with an anglecised accent.

But Elli made sure that she got rid of her foreign accent. Says Elli, "I had prepared myself well when I came to India. I had learnt Devnagiri from Stockholm University because I wasn't sure in which language the boards in public places would be written. If I had to travel, I thought I should at least know the basics." And it was in Bigg Boss that her Hindi training got complete!

"I had to speak in Hindi only as that was the rule. Later Sangram Singh was given the task of teaching Hindi to me and I picked up a lot in my 10-week stay in the house," adds Elli who then worked hard on getting her accent and the pronounciation right. "I converse with my staff in Hindi only and am always alert about how to use the words," she smiles. Ask her why she couldn't dub for the entire film and she explains, "The film was supposed to release earlier and I wasn't sure if I could finish in two days.

The accent was not a problem, but to get that right along with the emotions right is not easy. But for my next film, I will do the dubbing entirely. I am working towards it," says the actress confidently.
