'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' team to pay 21-gunshot salute to Bapu on Gandhi Jayanti

To mark the ocassion of Gandhi Jayanti, it is found out that the team of Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami has planned a  21-gunshot salute to honor the father of the nation.

The event will be held at Bandstand at the Gandhiji Statue where real cannons would be part of the homage. Along with this the team would also be felicitating 11 common people who have worked for the society and their efforts have gone unnoticed.

Confirming the event producer Abhinav Shukla says, "Gandhiji has had a huge influence on our lives. Probably that also seeped into the way we saw the film shaping up. It is a story about the triumph of the common man told through a very interesting father-son relationship and bears the message of honesty."

Director Ravindra Gautam says, "As we complete the film we believe we have much to thank Gandhiji for. We know he has got it earlier too but we feel an ekkees toppon ki salaami is still the most apt gift we could have come up."

Featuring Anupam Kher, Neha Dhupia, Divyendu Sharma, Manu Rishi, Aditi Sharma and Rajesh Sharma, comedy-satire Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is scheduled to hit the silver screen on October 10.
