Following the Uri attack, lot of things have happened when it comes to Bollywood. A lot of controversies cropped up and protests were led against Ae Dil Hai Mushkil - Karan Johar's directorial venture that features Fawad Khan. But now, the makers have been assured of a smooth release next Friday.

The Cinema Owners And Exhibitors' Association of India too has come out in full support of the release of both the films this Diwali- ADHM and Ajay Devgn's Shivaay. But they have requested the makers to donate a share of their income from the film for the families of the URi martyrs.

A letter has been sent to the makers of both the films. The letter reads- "As a part of our tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives defending our country at URI, the Cinema Owners And Exhibitors' Association, Mumbai, unanimously decided that this Diwali, our members be requested to donate their share of the first show of any film they screen on Friday, 28th October, 2016 to the family of soldiers who lost their lives defending our country at URI. We request all other cinema owners, cinema associations, multiplex owners and all distrbutors who are releasing their films this Diwali to join the good work."
