'Doctor Who' recreates The Beatles 'Abbey Road' moment with Daleks!

Actor Peter Capaldi and his co-star Jenna Coleman of Doctor Who along with the long-running show's iconic villains recreated The Beatles' famous 1969 "Abbey Road" street crossing album cover.

Coleman, 29, who recently confirmed she is leaving the series, even went barefoot, paying homage to Paul McCartney, reported Variety.

The photo is a part of the BBC series' promotional efforts for the premiere of season nine.

The premiere, titled The Magician's Apprentice, finds the Doctor haunted by past deeds and old enemies "when the skies of Earth are frozen by a mysterious alien force." The science-fiction TV programme depicts the adventures of the Doctor, a Time Lord a-space- and time-travelling humanoid alien.

Coleman will now work on the ITV show Victoria, in which she stars as young Queen Victoria.
