After 12 long years, Disney has given a  glimpse of Dory! The sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, will hit the theatres on July 17, 2016.

Disney has unveiled the first promotional poster for Finding Dory. The minimalistic poster has the blue ocean and Dory's tail, with the caption 'She just kept swimming'.

We first met Dory in 2003 in Finding Nemo as a merry fish having fun despite her problem of short-term memory loss. In Finding Dory, we will see her seeking answers about her past and what actually caused the memory loss.

Ellen DeGeneres will reprise the role of Dory. Albert Brooks is also returning as uptight clown fish Marlin. Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell of Modern Family will join the cast in the roles of an octopus and a beluga whale. This is where we might learn how Dory got to learn the whale language!

Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Kaitlin Olson, Dominic West and Idris Elba make up the cast of Finding Dory.
